Ebook Laugh in Small Storms

Small things THAT TORMENT

When we are in a difficult time in life, our mood tends to turn negative and we can tend to become irritable without noticing it, affecting people around us and ourselves. Unfortunately, it can become a lifestyle, so it is  important to stop it on time by avoiding small storms.

I will give some examples to illustrate a small storm, so that you try not to fall into it:

  • You prepared a delicious drink; you are very happy and ready to drink it. You make a quick movement and inadvertently spill everything. The reaction could be frustration, stress, and in general a bad mood. But it could also not give importance, those are things that happen, laugh at the situation, clean, and prepare a another drink.
  • You are in a hurry, getting everything ready to go and you are late. Before you leave, you realize that you dirtied your clothes when you eat breakfast. What do you do? get frustrated by what happened? Grumble? or accept the situation, laugh, and go to change clothes? Because, whether you get upset or not, you have to change yours clothes.

Life is full of situations in which we have two options of attitudes: getting upset or smiling. Choosing either one will not change what has already happened, but it could change how you feel about it. Getting carried away by rage does nothing; on the contrary, it can put you in an unnecessary bad mood for the rest of your day. On the other hand, if you smile, solve the situation and continue your life, you will realize that you will not even remember what happened, or if you do, it would be as a funny anecdote. Smile and laugh at the nonsense that goes on, they are not worth being upset about.

WHAT ATTITUDE DO YOU WANT TO CHOOSE?

Storms That Torment

When you believe that happiness comes from the outside, that your soul and your heart are not included in it, you let the external world rule inside you. You could lose yourself in the messiness of life and enter a world of rain of negative thoughts, sadness, fear, anger, etc. All these, leads you to give control of your happiness to what happens outside of you.

Deep inside, you have the control to decide to be happy every day, without depending on what is happening around you. Keep in mind, that you are a being of light, God is always looking at you, always embracing and protecting you, at all times.

When you are caught up in an emotional storm, stop! take a deep breath, and look into from a distance, as if it were someone else going through it. This might help get a better sense of what is going on.

If there is conflict, where you were wrong, or the other person was wrong, have compassion and forgive. Smile and don’t let that moment ruin the rest of your day or days. Remember, that your happiness comes from within and that the Love of God to you is infinite. In the end, everything will pass and you will forget it happened; this is how you return to peace. Every second is an opportunity to start again.

Nothing outside of your heart and soul is important enough to lose joy. Think that, what is important will not make you lose your joy. Deep in your soul, where God lives in you, where everything important in your existence is, there is only peace, serenity, and Love. Smile! Even laugh, if you can during a small storm!

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27

Ebook The Present

All we have is todayAll we have is today

The present is the only time we truly have, and how easily is forgotten. Many times, we either are remembering a past that is no longer there, or imagining a future that does not yet exist. We lose ourselves in times that we do not have, leaving aside the only one that really exists and could change the course of our lives, which is the present. The point of time when you can make changes, be happy, plant the seeds for the future, change your mood, and have faith, is today

The Key Word Is TODAY

In stormy times, focus on what you have today, in the present moment. Take a few minutes right now to smile and think about all the beauty you have in this present moment: everything you can enjoy today, the people you love, those around you today, the worthwhile relationships you have today, the best things you have in your life today, those which give you joy today … As simple as it is, take the time to think about it, and smile for everything you can think of. Whether it be a simple cup of coffee, a chat with a friend, appreciate everything that makes you happy, big and small.

Do not let the storm cloud your joy, and make you focus on itself. Do not let it steal your peace, dominate how you feel, or rule your mood; free yourself from it, and focus on what makes you happy today, and put aside what has not yet come.

It is by being present in the present that you enjoy what you have today

Every time the storm shouts its dangers at you, you shout out your joys for today, your faith, with courage, strength and determination. Dedicate yourself to see in your life all that is good today, no matter what is not yet. It is in the present, where you can enjoy things, it is there where you plant the seeds for the future, and where you find peace and joy.

Every morning, while seeing the beauty of each day, thank, pray, ask for guidance, stay in peace and joy. Be happy one moment at a time, one day at a time.

During this time, you will dedicate yourself daily to giving thanks several times during the day, especially in the morning, when you start your activities. and then at night when observing the good that happened. I recommend, that you look around you and see everything you can be thankful for, the color of the sky, the people around in your life right now, each valuable relationship you have, look at each area of your life that is going well, and give God thanks for that. As well as, the simplest things in life that make you happy, a cup of tea, a cool breeze on a warm day, whatever it is, write it down. Joy is all around you, find it!

Acknowledge everything that is right in your life today.

Storms have the ability to drive all your attention on them, to remember painful things, to have dark thoughts, and to show that everything is wrong. But if you stray a little from the noise of the storm, you realize that it really is only a part of your life that is affected. There is always something going well, however big or small it is. Do not let your mind be clouded by the black cloud of the storm, think that, even if you do not see it, the sun always shines behind it.

In life, we must live every day in the present moment. Today is the only day we have, and although it may be similar to the previous ones, none is equal to another, and you can never live the same day twice. Every day has opportunities, even if it seems exaggerated, but each day gives us the possibility of a new beginning. Things do not have to be like they were in the past, you can always reset and restart. Let the new better version of you change the present moment, to achieve the future you wish for and be the person God created you to be.

This is why it is important to focus on the present, on what is happening today and leave the uncertain future aside. Put yourself in God’s hands, He will relieve you from all the fears and anxieties, caused by the storm and the unknown future.

Imagine that God whispers in your ear...

Take control of your thoughts, direct your attention to the good in your life, do what you must do when you must do it, and leave the rest to God. Wait in patience, peace, and serenity; soon everything will pass ...

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:34

Ebook Staying Joyful

Being close to God and in faith is what gives strength in times of storm.

When a storm comes, it wants you to have all your attention on it and steal your joy with it. It is key to stay focus on the things that nourish joy, regardless of how threatening the storm might be. Some of those things are,

for example, acknowledging God, focusing on your faith in Him, living in the present moment, recognizing the many miracles you receive every day, and be grateful for everything you have today. By staying focus on the great things in your life, you easily lose focus of the storm to put it into the goodness life has to offer, in the greatness of God and His Divine plans for your life.

For the past weeks, you have been working on understanding and recognizing God’s love for you, then seeing how He sees you, understanding of what is in your hands to do and what is in God’s hands. Now, that you have all these ingredients, we’re going to focus on finding joy during a storm.

Having God in our hearts and thoughts every day reminds us that He is with us, no matter what we are going through. Faith in God and in His plan is what gives us hope that everything is, and will be fine, that God is acting in our lives. He frees us from worries, leading us to a world of joy.

The Love of God is immense, and would not allow anything to happen that we are not willing to resist. He does not want to see us suffer, He only wants each one of us to be the person that He created us to be, that we reach the potential that we have within. Some storms are meant to help you find the greatness in you.

Living in faith in God is what gives true joy in life.

Staying Joyful

FOCUSING ON GOD AND freeing yourself

Normally, during a storm, the mind tends to focus on the on what is not going well or what is failing. Then, combines it with apprehension about what could happen and the fear of repeating past experiences. All these creates another storm within the mind, based on imaginary probabilities that nourishes the fear of the unknown and the worst experiences of the past, and makes you forget the present moment, where none of that is happening.

Living in the present, striving to see what you have today is very important to maintain joy during difficult times.

The storm is fraught with fears of either an uncertain future or the possibility of losing something we have today. This should make us think that, instead of focusing on the fear of loss, we should direct our attention to the joy of having it today. Be thankful and joyful that we are well today, and nothing has happened yet. Live each day in gratitude, be an observer of each hour. For example, be aware of what was the best thing that happened in the morning and what miracle happened on that day.

Be happy and live in the joy of what you have at present the moment and not focus on a future that has not yet arrived, that you do not know how will unfold. The sky may look completely gray and threaten heavy rain, but it is just that, a threat, the storm may dissolve on its own later, and never fall. So, what happens to the time wasted in anguish, the fears lived thinking about how that storm would affect you? The joy during the storm was lost and all to realize that nothing happened.

During a storm is easier to find joy when you:

  • Focus on doing what you must do.
  • Think constantly in the greatness of God, rather than in the greatness of the storm.
  • Put the storm aside.
  • Focus on what you have today, and not what has not yet come.
  • Remember with joy, that after the storm, calm always comes.
  • Enjoy the journey without desperately expecting to reach your destination.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit Romans 15:13

Ebook God is in Control

If you doubt how God acts in your life, what He brings to it, you are doubting His plan for you, what He has for you.

God knows more about our lives than we do, He sees the whole picture, He knows what is best. We are limited to seeing what our narrow human mind allows us, and the more we focus on the storm, more limited the mind becomes. When you accept that God is in control, that He is the one directing your life, you put aside the need to be worried and stressed about things that happen or do not happen, and live more peacefully.

Stop for a moment, think and reflect, remember the times you have believed that things are going wrong, you have worried uselessly in a situation, to later find out that everything was done to bring benefit to your life.

By trusting God and knowing that He is in control, you set aside the focus on the black cloud of the storm and you focus on faith in God. In situations where only God is in control, trusting Him and recognizing that He wants the great things for your life, is the best path.

Fear and doubts makes us question our faith and what God has for us. It unconsciously makes us, believe that we could choose better on our own, that we could do it better than God. All this confusion, can create detours that eventually cause delays, because, without God’s guidance, we usually tend to choose longer and more difficult paths. Staying in faith, being constantly conscience that God is in control is what keeps us on the right track.

Faith is the best tool to put the negative thoughts aside, leave storms of fear in your mind, and change them for peace, serenity, and acceptance.

The fact that there is faith does not mean that life will be perfect, that God will give us everything we want, and we will never have a problem. Faith gives us the strength and confidence that we will come out of each fight well and that each storm can be an opportunity to grow, to be better, and to advance towards the plan that God has for us.

Many of the storms are just in our minds, a combination of storms of the past, mixed with the pessimism of the possibility of a future we do not like.

Despite the storms of the external world, we have peace of mind, knowing that the God of the universe is working so our life is as He has prepared it for us. His plans are perfect and once we have that clear, once we have Him in our hearts, we will be in peace and joy, because nothing will disturb us.

Talk to Him about your faith with words and actions, show Him how much you trust Him. Focus on what you must do, what is in your hands to do; release the rest, with Love, trust, and immense peace while you say: “Lord, I leave it in your hands.”

Free yourself from worries, forget about what hasn’t happened yet, enjoy what you have today. Smile at God and thank Him. Remember, that even if you don’t notice, He is doing things for you all the time. Calm the storm with faith and joy in your life.

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5: 6

Ebook Prepare and Release

To listen and prepare you must be filled with humbleness and acceptance

When a storm threatens to approach or arrive, knowing what is in your hands and what is not, it is key. So, when you take action, you are clear when you are fighting in favor and doing you part, and you are wearing yourself out on something that is not for you to solve.

What should I do? That is a question we must ask God and ourselves during a storm. Having faith in God and knowing that He is in control does not mean not preparing. Discern during a storm is very important. First,

because you do what it is for you to do, and second, it gives you peace to know what is NOT in your hands and you leave those to God.

If you see the gloomy clouds, you know that a storm might be coming. It is essential that you know how to prepare and what to do. Therefore, ask God and yourself: What should I do to prepare? What do I need to be ready for this storm? What is in my hands to do? Stay still and quiet, waiting for His guidance. His answer might not always be clear, perhaps not because God does not give it clear, but rather because our mind and heart get confused and crowded with so many thoughts and fears about the storm. We allow them to cloud our mind and hide the voice of God. But if you focus on God’s Love, it would be easier to listen to Him.

Learning to discern when you should act and when God acts, it is not an easy task. It would help, if you aim to have some or all of the following: a lot of faith and knowing God well, being ready for the challenges that He sets for you, accepting situations that no longer have a solution, and clearly understanding where God wants you to be. In brief, it is accepting His mandates, even when you do not agree with them, being receptive, and obedient. Keep always in mind that God loves you and He wants you to be happy, fulfill your purpose and be the person He created you to be.

In the previous week, the practice goal was for you to learn to acknowledge God’s Love, how He sees you and understand better what God has for you. At this point, you might have a little more clarity about God’s Love and what His Love is has for you.

Now, it is time to recognized, what it is in your hands to do during this storm, and what it is left for God to do. Learning to understand and know what is your part, and what it is God’s part, could be challenging. But the most important of all is that you learn to listen to God in your heart as He guides you to get prepared.

Once you feel that you are prepared, you commit yourself and say: “I will do what is within my reach, I will have the necessary preparation to face it” Knowing that there is nothing else you can do, let go of the rest and live in joy. It is not beneficial to be looking at how serious the storm can be, how terrible it could attack you, what would happen next if the storm strikes. It is useless to waste time 1thinking about things that you do not know if they will happen. Free yourself from the anguish caused by the storm.

Being distressed will not make the storm softer or go away; on the contrary, it will make you think that it is long and threatening. It will make you deviate from your joy, and it will take you to a dark world full of unfounded fears, without bringing any benefit to your life. When you know you are doing your part, and you let God do His part, it is more clear that God is in control of the black clouds, so trust Him. Let Him do His part, for there is nothing you can do anymore.

As you let go of what its in God’s hand, joy starts to build up within you. You focus on the good in you life, on doing your part and trusting God. Your faith in Him, brings you to a world of light, filled joy and His Love.

Be humble and accept God’s greatness and what He will do in your life.

Ask Every Day …

Make daily reviews of what you should do and what is for God to do. To accomplish this, the best thing you can do is look for daily moments to be with Him, always ask for His guidance in the decisions you make. Ask Him every day, “God, what is in my hands to do? What should I leave in Your hands? ” and then you remain in silence, waiting for Him to give you an answer. As mentioned before, since our mind is so filled with negative thoughts and fears, it makes His answers unclear. We allow these negative thoughts to cloud our mind and hide the voice of God. Aim to clear your mind and focus on His love for you, try to listen to His voice in your heart.

In His guidance, God could lead us in directions that could be against our will, but not because that path is painful, but because we find it difficult to understand the magnitude of His Love and His plans for our lives. Trust Him and follow them, as His plan is always bigger than yours.

Once you have done your part, you let go of everything, you are confident and continue your day calmly. You are already prepared, you have already done what was within your reach.

Remember at all times, that you are free to be who God created you to be. You should only answer to Him, no matter what the world says, because when you obey God, everything is in harmony.

IMAGINE THAT GOD SAYS TO YOU: “YOU DO YOUR PART, AND I DO MINE.”

Do not be anxious about anything but everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

Ebook Fantasy or Faith

How to Know the difference

In the confusion that causes a storm, it’s easy to get lost in a fantasy world created by ourselves. Rather than wishing for a purposeful life, we could focus on unfulfilling wants and desires for our lives. As consequence, we cloud our minds with vain requests from the world, and we overlook what God has and wants for us. When we are not aligned with God’s plan, we could lose the essence of what is important. Therefore, during a storm, fantasy and faith seem so similar, that it can be difficult to differentiate between the two.

Fantasy

During a storm, we could tend to focus on what it is not going our way, including fantastical desires and wants that fulfill the vanity of the world, but are not necessary aligned with God’s purpose for our lives. Since the storm wants us to lose faith, patience, peace and serenity, it adds more to the despair, by making us wish and focus on things that are not essential or part of God’s plan. They might be just material things or irrelevant desires for the real purpose of our lives. When these desires get stronger and we don’t get what we think we want, it makes us believe that God is not listening. It nourishes the fear that we are left alone in a storm and God is ignoring our prayers. However, when you focus on God and your faith in Him, when you know what God has for you, what His plans are for your life, then your desires and wants are aligned with what He wants for you. It helps you discern what is a fantasy, and what is a true desire.

By the way, it is not that we don’t deserve what we would like, it might just be that it is not aligned to the plan God has for us, which, usually is much bigger and more fulfilling than ours.

Faith

When your desires are aligned with God’s plans, you see them in your minds as a beautiful movie, that shows you the life God wants for you. Your heart is filled with faith, you believe and you go towards it. You have a strong feeling within, true joy comes naturally, and you know that what you desire helps you get closer to the person God created you to be, and brings you closer to your true purpose.

Knowing the difference between fantasy and Faith could be easier than it looks. When you accept that God loves you, that you are deserving of all that He has for you, in your heart you know when it is God who gives you, and when it is you who dreams. When you look at yourself with God’s eyes, seeing everything He sees in you, looking at you with the Love He has for you, you see that everything, including, what you think is an impossible promise from Him, is the truth.

If you see that it goes along with the Love of God, if the desires are pure, not tainted with greed, vanity, ego, and if they have the same purity of God, those are promises for your life. You feel a warm feeling in your heart. All these brings you peace, serenity, joy, faith and the certainty that it is all part of God’s plan for your life. Even though, it looks big, maybe even impossible, you see everything with humbleness and accept it.

The promises of God are filled with what He wants for you in your life. He knows your potential, sees all your gifts and talents, God sees, how when He fulfills His promises you grow and reach your potential. You get where you will be who God created you to be, where your greatness will serve the world, and you are at your full potential. Everything in the purity of your heart, with humbleness, without selfishness, vanity nor passing over anyone. Nothing that God promises passes over anyone. God is abundance and there is enough for every single one.

When I was in the storms that inspired this book, God’s plan was to make an instrument of His Love and share what He taught me, with the world. However, I didn’t believe I had the talent and qualities to do what God was asking me to do. It seemed like it was an impossible promise, but when I saw who God saw in me, it made me stronger and believe in Him and everything He had put in me.

CLAIM WHAT IS YOURS WITHOUT FEAR; IN THE PURITY OF YOUR HEART, ONLY THE REAL PROMISES OF GOD ARE NOURISHED.

5 But if any of you lacks wisdom,[d] he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and he will be given it. 6 But he should ask in faith, not doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind. 7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8 since he is a man of two minds, unstable in all his ways. James 1 : 2-8

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12: 2

Ebook Love of God

It Is Bigger Than You Think

God’s love for us is big, bigger than we can imagine. Sometimes, we don’t
realize how much God loves us. He carefully created each one of us, He
put in you, me and everyone a unique set of beautiful talents, gifts and qualities to help us overcome obstacles and fulfill our life purpose.

Discovering the Love of God is key to help grow our faith and find joy during a storm. When we understand, how immense His love is for us, we can then see and understand how big His plans are for our lives.

Being mindful that God had put so much in you and that He sees you as His beautiful masterpiece, makes it is easier to see His love for you. He sees the best in you, He sees what you’re capable of, and gives you all the tools and equips you with everything you need to be the person He created you to be and fulfill your purpose in life.

God is always looking at us with tenderness and love, He sees our efforts,
struggles, the pureness of our heart, our Faith in Him, everything… He sees us as we are. When we see ourselves through His eyes, through His love through His faith in us, we see our greatness and the greatness of His plans for our lives.

God’s Love for us is so immense; unlike ours towards ourselves. Which, in many cases, it is so little, that we do not believe God has such wonderful plans for us. We choose not to believe that it is in God to perform miracles and fulfill impossible dreams in our lives. During a storm, the love for God, the faith in Him and where He takes us is tested.

We must first discover, understand, and believe in the immense love God has for us. Then, understand and accept what He has for our lives, the unexpected plans that lead us to fulfill our purpose, and be who He created us to be.

Accept that God loves you, but accept it in your heart, accept that He has great things for you, that, although you must fight battles, struggle, if you follow and obey Him, you will always succeed. Open your arms to receive His blessings, and storms will dissipate.

When you accept God’s love in your heart, you realize that the storms are only in your mind, they only exist in a mind without faith. By understanding that God has a plan, by obeying it, however illogical His requests may seem, the faster the storms will disperse. Most of the storms are created when we want to fight our own battles without asking God for guidance. Sometimes are battles that we may not need to fight, and we take more difficult paths.

Once you understand His great Love for you, you will see what He is willing to do in your life. You are deserving of ALL the blessings God has for you.

By wanting to impose our will, we could be missing the opportunity to unleash our potential and receive all of God’s blessings. It would be like going out into the open, empty handed, in the middle of a storm, letting all the rain and winds hit us, forgetting that we have an umbrella that protects, cares, and guides us.

God works in us from the inside out, His voice and wisdom come from within and we apply them in the different situations of our lives.

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8: 37-39

Ebook In Storm

In the Storm, God does His part and you do yours.

In storms, it is easy to lose faith, feel the silence of God and see with our eyes how everything is as we do not want it to be. The mind takes advantage of those gaps of faith, creates its own mental storms based on doubts that fill the heart with fear. It brings to mind memories of a past over which there is no control, or creates future scenarios that do not exist. In a mental storm the deepest fears meet, creating confusion and showing a future filled of the worst possible outcomes. All these makes us forget about the present, that life is in today and it is the only time we have.

Sometimes, a storm seems more frightening than it really is. So, when you see a storm coming, look at it steadily, coldly and fearlessly, and ask God: How can this situation affect my life? What can I do solve it? What is in my hands to do? Humbly, wait for God’s response, expect His guidance. There will be things that are in your hands to do, that you can go out to fight for and those you must do. But also, there will be others, that only God can do, and no matter how hard you fight, they are not in your hands. During a storm, it is very important to have the wisdom and humbleness to understand and accept, what you should do and what is in God to do. You would not want to do what belongs to God, nor you would want to sit and wait for God to solve or do things that it is for you to do, and you must do yourself.

God helps and guides us, but He also waits for us to do our part. This is way is important, that you do what you must do, when you must do it.

Do Not Let the Storm Cloud Your Mind

God does His part and you do yours.

Storms have the ability to drive all the attention to them and making themselves look bigger than they are. They make you bring to mind painful memories, have dark thoughts and see that everything is going wrong. They are self-centered and want all focus to be on them. But you are not going to give them that attention, you are going to get away from the noise of the storm to focus on the peace God brings to your life and the joy of recognizing what is going well in it. You will accomplish these, by dedicating yourself to acknowledge all the good that you have today.

Strive to stay in peace, faith, full joy, and daily gratitude.

Start by defining how big the storm really is today, without including any thoughts of things that do not yet exist, or what could happen in the future. This will help your mind know how real the storm is and how much is in the imagination of fear. Do not direct your attention to effect and the damage a storm could cause to you, rather, focus on the great things you have in your life. There is always something going well in your life, appreciate it, regardless of how big or small it is.

During storms, we must ask God, what can I do to solve this situation? How can I get out of this trouble? What is in my control? and do everything, everything in your power to get out of there, to win. Sometimes, it is not so clear and obvious to know which is which, so do your best to find out.

Devote yourself to looking at God and how He can help you attack the storm. He is guiding you to proceed in the best way, to take the best path, to say the right words, to behave as you should, to discern when it is your time to act, and when it is in God’s hands. Put the storm aside and focus on God.

Do not let your mind be clouded by the gloomy clouds of the storm, think that, even if you do not see it, the sun shines behind it. Just because you don't see the sun, it doesn't mean it is gone. The sun is there! Just that the black cloud of a storm is temporarily blocking it. Remember, no matter how covered the sun is, no matter how black the cloud is, you will always have light.

Every day, you must fight with everything, not let yourself fall or be haunted by your fears or doubts. Arm yourself with courage and do what is in your hands to get out of that storm and prevent it from affecting you so much. Do everything with faith.

Take control of your thoughts, focus on the good in your life, do what you have do when you have do it, and leave the rest to God. Wait in patience, peace, and serenity, soon everything will pass.

During this journey you might start seeing that the storm is something that it is mostly in your mind rather than in your life. The gloomy clouds are just pessimists thoughts full of fear and lack of faith. Once you start to ignore the storm by focusing on God and the good things in your life, the storm might start slowly weakening and soon completely vanishing, leaving you with the beautiful sun shine. The shining light of faith.

Ebook A Little Story

A Little Story

Imagine walking through a beautiful field, you look at the sun shine and beautiful flowers and birds singing. Suddenly, it starts to get a little darker. You look at the sky, it is covered with gray clouds, it seems that the rain is threatening to fall in abundance. It gives you the impression that a big storm might be on its way.

You remember you have an umbrella, you take it, you prepare for what is coming. Your umbrella gives you peace of mind, because you know that if the rain falls, you will be protected. You have the certainty that the umbrella will open and cover you. Whether the storm falls or not, you have no control, but you know you are ready.

You are aware that worrying and getting anguished will not be beneficial for you nor will it make the storm go away. On the contrary, it will make you lose the joy of the present moment, it will distract you from the beauty of the landscape, and it will make you think about the gloomy clouds above you.
